Rob Blackburn – Drummer – “Beat keeper”
Rob’s going on his second year drumming for the Bretts. He’s been around the family for about 12 years now because his father, Bobby Blackburn, has been the music director, keyboard player and now lead guitarist for the Bretts that entire time. Rob has developed into one of the finest drummers in all of Branson, and that at a very young age. He has drummed for the Pierce Arrow Show, Legends in Concert, the Tony Roi show, Presleys and now with the Bretts as well as the Grand Country matinee and evening shows. He is also the worship leader for Evidence Student Ministries at the Tri Lakes Church in Branson. He states “Leading worship every week is pretty much the coolest”. Robby was voted Branson’s Drummer of the Year in 2010.
His favorite musical artists are Jesus culture, Justin Beiber and Michael Jackson. He says that some of the people who inspire him are Justin Beiber and his dad (truly a gifted musician as well). His favorite movie is 17 Again and knows every line in that movie as well as High School 1,2 and 3. His favorite book is the Holy Bible. Rob loves playing sports like basketball, soccer, football and X-Box (wait, is that a sport?).
Rob says that he’s really motivated by having goals. He likes the paychecks that working three shows affords him as well.
Rob was born November the 12th in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Branson High School two years ago.
