Garon Brett

Garon Brett is truly a rising young star in the music industry. A singer songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and developing recording engineer, Garon is in the beginning stages of a journey he hopes will lead him to industry-leading innovation. “Ultimately, I want to work with the most excellent artists and produce the most excellent music that can be produced,” he says. “It might seem impractical or far fetched, but I’m confident in the direction I’m headed and in the gifts I’ve been given.”

Like his brother, Brydon, Garon was not entirely excited about music as a child. In fact, bribery was the only thing that would get him onstage. “We had to bribe him with Beanie Babies actually,” his mother, Andrea, remembers. “There were times when he was definitely milking the opportunity, but in general, he really didn’t want to be on that stage.” Eventually Garon would get over his stage resentment, and as he did, it became more and more apparent that he was born to be in the spotlight. “Garon always had an amazing ear, and the ability to pick up choreography and other musical things really quickly,” Brydon says. “He also has this natural stage presence that you can’t learn. I’d like to say it came from his older brother, but it’s easy to see that he received his talent from somewhere else.”

The Brett Family moved to Branson when Garon was only eight years old, so he has had a unique on-the-job music training experience. From studio recording to live video shoots, he’s been exposed to nearly every aspect of the music business. But even with all the abnormalities of an entertainment lifestyle he was still able to carry on a somewhat normal life through high school. He earned All-State honors for basketball, and was his high school’s Salutatorian. With college basketball offers on the table, Garon made the difficult decision to move on from basketball and dedicate his future to music. He attended one semester at Brigham Young University, and he plans to continue studying media music after he serves a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

On stage, Garon’s vocal style is a fusion of Mel Torme, Michael Buble, and John Mayer. He is a gifted dancer, drummer, and all-around performer. As mentioned, he is also an imaginative songwriter. His original music has a hint of John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and Jason Mraz to it. He plans on releasing a solo EP album in the near future and recording many more after that. Garon also has an eye and an ear for live show production, and many of his ideas have found their way onstage at The Brett Family Show. He has a range as wide as the variety of his talents, and his sense of humor adds fun and humanity to every performance.

With such youth and ambition, the only thing holding Garon back is himself. “I’m setting goals, and I’m working harder than I ever have before,” he says. “It feels good to finally know what I want to do with my life and to be working toward it every day.” One thing is certain, when you combine great talent with hard work, great things happen. And there is no doubt that the world will benefit from the great things Garon Brett will create.
