Garon Brett is a singer-songwriter, pianist, guitarist, dancer, and co-producer of The Bretts Show in Branson, MO.
The Bretts moved to Branson when Garon was eight years old, so he has had a unique on-the-job music training experience. Garon was not entirely excited about performing as a child, preferring instead to play basketball, but he soon warmed up to the spotlight and proved to be a gifted artist. Through high school Garon excelled on the basketball court and on the stage and had higher education options for both. He ultimately made the decision to pursue a career path in show business and attended Brigham Young University as a freshman to study as a Media Music major.
On stage, Garon’s vocal style is a fusion of Mel Torme, Michael Buble, and John Mayer. He is a gifted musician, dancer, songwriter and all-around artist. Garon has established himself as a formidable force in Branson entertainment, garnering nominations for Best Male Entertainer of the Year and Best Original Song Performance in 2010*. His dynamic abilities bring a new dimension to The Bretts Show. A recent entrant into the world of songwriting, Garon’s original song “Billboard Girl” (co-written with siblings Doug and Kayli Lowe of Old Hickory, TN) won grand prize in the NSAI/CMT (Nashville Songwriter’s Association International/Country Music Television) 11th Annual Song Contest.
In August, 2010 Garon left The Bretts temporarily to travel to South America where he will spend two years serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bogota, Colombia. He plans to continue his songwriting and performing career as soon as he returns in August 2012.
